FDR Skatepark at 3QD

I’ve gathered some of my recent FDR material together and crafted a post for 3 Quarks Daily, Is FDR the capital of the SK8board nation?

What are we to make of this?

It’s crudely rendered, which is neither here nor there, but should be noted as there is some superb work at FDR. What do we make of the imagery? At the center we have a skull and partial skeleton topped by a crown and bordered a black-edged pattern in red and yellow. Feathers, flames? What of the flames at the bottom and the upper corners? The black birds? There’s a caption at the top: “RIDE INTO THE HOLY LAND”. What’s that about? What of the red, yellow, and blue color scheme?
