behold an eye

  1. A very interesting abstract photograph. I love how the light spreads out from the edge of the corner structure. Very nice.

    1. Thanks, Otto. I've been having a lot of fun deliberately creating technically flawed photos. Of course, since I'm doing this deliberately, those flaws aren't flaws at all. But, as always, you don't know what you've got until you get it out of the camera.

In this case I was shooting the sun peaking over the corner of a house roof. I've spent a fair amount of time learning what happens when you shoot directly at the sun but with some object partially hiding the sun. And, of course, this photo is out of focus. At the same session I took photos of the same shot but well-focused. Etc.

The camera is just a way of capturing images. You don't always have to go after that "National Geographic" look (unless, of course, they're paying you for it).
