Let’s get this out of the way: The Hunting Wives is about pegging both literally – there’s a pegging scene in one of the later episodes – but more importantly, figuratively. Just what the figure means, I don’t rightly know. But that’s OK. It’s there, in your face. It’s the only time I’ve seen pegging in a video. Oh, I’m sure you can find lots of porn showing pegging. But that’s not my taste in porn and this isn’t porn. It’s a mainstream American video, albeit on the dark side of adult.
Now that we’ve got that out of the way, what’s it actually about? This couple from the Northeast, Cambridge, moves to a (fictional) small town in East Texas, Maplewood. Graham to take a job, Sophie because she’s his wife. She brings a secret with her, which those nasty (b*tchy?) Texas wives ferret out. They’re wealthy, or at least their husbands are. And they like guns, to which they introduce Sophie, who takes to them like a duck to water.
I know, I’m getting ahead of myself, and I suppose I’ve dropped a spoiler or two already, albeit only minor ones. There’s that big one about the pegging, but you don’t really know what that’s about because you haven’t got the context. I’m giving that to you now. More spoilers too.
You see, Graham’s new boss is a Big Man in this town. And the boss’s much younger wife, she’s the ringleader of these wealthy wives with the guns. Younger wife is from a sketchy background and has an even sketchier brother.
The group includes the preacher’s wife; the congregation is one of these big mega church congregations, which I suppose is how the preacher and his wife get to live in a big house. They’ve got a junior pastor who can’t keep it in his pants and who, unbeknownst to us, has abducted one of the local girls. Anyhow the ringleader wife takes a fancy to Sophie, awakening her dormant lesbian desires. And that pisses off the sheriff’s wife, who now feels jilted because she thought she had ringleader wife all to herself.
Meanwhile the preacher’s son is going down on ringleader wife and banging the pretty young cheerleader daughter of some grossly overweight working class single mom, who gets murdered – the daughter, not the mom. That’s what this story is circling around, who murdered that girl? It coulda’ been anyone because they all had guns. It seems that the gun that did it belonged to Sophie, who hadn’t even shot a gun much less owned one until she’d been introduced to these Texas hunting wives.
And that’s about all I’m going to tell you. If you want to find out who did it, you’re going to have to watch the series, or read the plot summaries at the Wikipedia link I fed you. But I will tell you about that pegging.
It happens in episode seven (of eight). We see the big burly sheriff in bed, grunting and moaning away. His wife is behind him doing something. What? Looks like she’s humping him. Wait, what!? You heard me. The sheriff orgasms, the wife backs away, and removes the strap-on. Pegging revealed. Next day at the office the big burly bearded sheriff struts around like he’s cock of the block.
They’re all preverts (sic)! That’s what this show is about. Texas has presented itself to the world as an all American world, one full of god-fearing gun-toting men, backed up by their god-fearing husband-serving wives. This Texas has America pegged.
